MAKING PROGRESS!

We are at 20% funding for our fundraiser on GoFundMe! What a real accomplishment in such a short time. Well done to everyone who has put in such hard work to get the word out.

DONATIONS

We know many of the people who expressed a desire to donate may not have had the chance to do so – life gets busy! We would like to encourage everyone who is planning to donate to do so as soon as they are able. It helps us to secure the funding we need to progress to the next stage of the purchase.

PLEASE SHARE

We are asking kindly that everyone share our GoFundMe as much as possible. People get busy and may intend to donate but forget. Continuing to share the fund every day or two will remind people to make that donation they were thinking about. Please don’t forget to contact your friends, family and others who love you. This is going to take a village and whilst we are off to a great start – we have a long way to go!

IN THE NEWSPAPER

Our little allotments are getting their 15 minutes of fame as we are going to be featured by Selby Times on Thursday – please pick up a copy and share it far and wide. It is a good reason to talk to people about the cause and ask for their help.

THIS SUNDAY

From 12 -12:30pm it would be lovely to have a few allotmenteers who can pop by the allotments to have their photo taken. Please don’t worry that your plots aren’t ship shape – they want to see faces, not vege!

INSTAGRAM

That’s right – we are now on Instagram. We would love for you to give us a follow @recreationroadallotments .

If you have any photos taken at any time of your plots (phone photos are fine!) please e-mail them to me at: admin@recreationroadallotments.co.uk so I can share them. Please let me know your Instagram tag if you have one.

SURVEY RESULTS

I am attaching the survey results so everyone can see what we all said was important to us at the last meeting. Surveys like this help us know what is important to you so we can know how to best serve your needs in the future.

Highlights…

Your biggest reason for enjoying the allotments is that it was good for your health!
Your biggest concerns were about rent prices and site maintenance.
